Yes, what is it that actually lights you up and puts a pep in your step. In terms of your question... I think that I no longer want a big, show off, glamorous, glitzy fairy tale wedding. I want something intentional, family centered, and fun. That can be a small deal or a big one, it is my choice. But spending lots of money does not equal more satisfaction and I am unpacking that in real time (and the perfect photos do not mean you had the best time either haha). We are encouraged as woman to put that 'big day' on a pedestal and grind until you get there. Nevermind what marriage actually means! You can figure that out later. That has been on my mind lately anyway.
So much of writing our own story involves listening more to what we resonate with, than taking on the story of someone else and their expectations. Love the way you broke down the questions to ask ourselves!
By the way, I love your questions. Very on point and useful to kickstart a brain asking the right types of questions.
It isn't shadow work necessarily. It could be. For example, if you were being one way to avoid being another.
Sounds more like you were pursuing aims / goals and living according to messages you never (consciously) accepted or agreed to.
That's called conditioning. And the remedy: counter-conditioning.
Still self-work!
